Thoughts....

Hmm, quite a bit happened over the past few weeks and I only have the time to ponder over them recently, so I am now penning down some thoughts, which I just had.

Ok, firstly, I must say that I hate workers who are plain obedient. I mean, I understand the meaning of discipline and obedience, but seriously, in the work place, contributing ideas in helping to make the project a success is more important. It is not logical to spend and waste resources to work on something that is impossible or illogical or unfeasible. Hmm, maybe they consider NSFs to be free labour so they think that they can abuse us, but in the corporate world, this kind of abuses will cost the company a lot. So definitely, my opinion is that a worker must share his ideas as well as helps his boss think of ways to improve on an idea or project. Through this, win-win situations will then developed which will reap immense benefits for the boss and save resources. Hint... I do not wish to point fingers at anyone but I hope all of you can go back and think what kind of worker are you? Do you just blindly follow instructions or are you proactive in coming out with a workable idea?

Anyway I talked to Yan too and her ideas on friendships and issues related to friends struck me as well. Yes, I am indeed amused with the fact that I could actually tell people how I hope to be friends forever with them, but at the end of the day we lose contact with each other. But then, friends are always entering into our lives and they are also always leaving ours. I guess the most important bit is not talking about how we can always be friends but instead it is to treasure each other now and fully utilise the time we spend interacting with each other. I am only thankful that some of my secondary school pals are still so close to me, as well as the fact that I have such a wonderful bunch of army friends. I truly treasure all of you so let us carry on enjoying each other's company as much as we can! Oh yes, of course I must say that I also totally appreciate the company of some of my best buddies, even though all our backgrounds are so different. In fact, I believe all of us have our own best buddies, and I know that even though a lot of people pass through our lives, we will always treasure our best buddies! Anyway, I sure say that I totally appreciate the time that you dudes spend reading my blog. It is always good to know that people care about me. Oh, please leave a tag if you come!!!

I just firmly accepted my place in Cambridge and I told Selina about it as well. According to her, there is no loner a need for me to take the IELTS, which is good news. Haha. I guess I'm a lazy bum too. But I guess the fact that I can consistently blog means that I still have not lost touch with my command of English.

Anyway WJ was telling me that the spec-man conflict in my platoon might flare up again. Well, I agree with him especially when there are some people who always like to evade duties and tasks. I mean, why is it that there are some people who will not do things by themselves if they can and have the time to do so. I mean I can understand if you need help if the task is massive, but if it is a simple one, why can't you do it by yourself? No wonder the others are getting quite pissed off recently. I do not fault them because even I myself believe that you should not pass your duties to others unless you absolutely are unable to do it.

Lastly, I hate people who do not understand the idea of carrots and sticks. GOD, why is it that such people exists? Do I need to conduct a simple logic lesson for them as to what are the meanings of incentives and punishments? Or is there a need for me to write a full paper on the Economics of carrots and sticks in the case of forced labour as well as the government sector? You never know the paper might be an award winning one. Haha.

Haha, guess I wrote enough thoughts for today. I'm supposed to help my sister vet through her paper later as well. Oh, and I got driving lessons later. Better to sleep early since I think I am indeed suffering from a lack of sleep.
