Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka

Ooh, I caught Charlie and the Chocolate Factory yesterday and it was fantastic. Ok, I’m afraid that if you are somebody who just loves action flicks, or guns and violence and sex, then this is totally the wrong movie for you. But if you just want to be entertained, this is a good show.

Yes, its every childhood fantasy all relived. Ok, I admit I almost forgotten the whole book by now (I think I read it when I was around ten?), but still, there are bits and parcels of the show which made me recapped a bit of the story here and there.

Anyway, that’s no point of me talking about the storyline. I mean if you are keen to know, just read the book. Nothing beats the original. But I must say that the movie has real good visual effects, in fact everything looks so real. And the experience that I had throughout the movie was good.

Hmm, personally I think a child will just enjoy the movie without really giving it much thought. On the other hand, I think adults will understand real well what the director is trying to express. It is a fairy tale about greedy, spoilt kids, as well as teaches people on childhood (I think it’s really like a parenting guide), on top of that, it does stress highly on the role and importance of the family.

I will love a sequel to the show. I’m sure I will carry on being fascinated with it.
