Hi, I’m back from my China trip! Yupz, finally!
Ok, I will say the trip on the whole was boring, super boring. Essentially there wasn’t any spectacular scenery in Xiamen or in Shantou, and we spent most of the time traveling or visiting temples. Let me count, hmmm, in total I went to 8 temples all in the short space of like 4 days! That’s on average 2 a day!
I don’t really have much complains about the trip since most of it the travel agency has informed us, including all the commercial bits. In fact, I thought that the agency did a good job of ensuring that the trip runs smoothly.
I think the most exciting part of my whole trip was to go to my home village and to see the environment that my dad grew up in! It’s a really nice place, really beautiful and spacious. In fact, I seriously don’t mind staying there if I’m rich (and of course ensure that my house has air-con and internet access and all the smart home functions, haha!).
Oh, I also met my uncle and aunt as well as my cousins and my nephews and nieces. Sheesh, I feel so paiseh! Its like I got so many nephews and nieces! Ha, oh well, that’s a thing to think about in the future. Ok, I shall type my travelogue but I doubt it will be as long as my Taipei trip. =)
