August 9th
Anyway, Jurong was real busy and madness, meaning that I will prefer Anderson bridge anytime, any day, except possibly for rainy days. Haha. The crowd starting appearing at 9, before the waves came in at around 11. By lunch time, the whole place was packed with people. Ok, for some interesting reason (either the signals booth was too small or the others were just not that popular or placed not strategically enough), we seemed to be seeing crowds that were squeezing by each other, and crowds that were worse than Zouk.
I was quite amazed that lan gaming became a place for children aged 12 and below. It was really a tough job attempting to teach children how to play operation flashpoint, especially when you need to make sure the don’t press the ESC key or that they shoot their own fellow team-mates, and neither is it easy trying to tell them to let others have a chance. Ha, talk about parenting fears… I really had no idea what I will do when I start having kids of my own…
Well, thankfully the whole day passed by peacefully without rain. We tore down amazingly fast too, something like half an hour for the whole set up. He, and I were lucky enough to hail a SKODA cab. You know, one of the five new cabs that were introduced in Singapore just last week. Wah, the cab is cool man. Ok, maybe the exterior does not look that elegant as a Mercedes, but its as spacious as one inside and the seats are smooth leather. The engine power is amazing, and the taxi uncle was telling me how you can hit up to 180km/h just on 3rd gear alone (top speed is 270km/h). There’s also TV Mobile. Best, it costs the same as a normal cab. In fact, I think I took just 15 minutes to reach home!
He, I really don’t find taking the SKODA cab again in future. Hope I got a chance again.
