Weekend

I didn't go out at all today, but nevertheless, I thought the weekend was well spent.

First, let's start with Friday night. Went to Eldwin's place to have dinner, and I also met up with Chris too. Its a pity that Kenny, Liheng and Tim were all busy, if not it would have been nice to meet up with them as well. Oh well, the good thing is that I still have at least 6 more weeks left in Singapore, although I think that is really short as well.

I must comment: Dwin can cook! His durian puffs were really nice, and the rest of the food that he prepared were clearly edible as well. Looks like he had a lot of practice in the US. And he has a waffle making machine over there to make his own waffles for breakfast! Sigh, looks like I must really buck up.

Oh, I met Takai when I was waiting for bus number 10 at katong. It was really a pleasant surprise, cause I didn't expect to see him. Haha. Life is full of coincidences, just like how I met Ernest at Sim Lim the other day.

I spent Saturday afternoon at Suntec because of UK Bound. It was nice meeting with juniors and chatting to them, and in a sense I must say that Cambridge did awesome this year. Kudos to Shireen, cause I thought the booth was really nice and presentatable, and our booklet (which costs a lot to print) was also worth the investment. Hopefully the first years treasure it cause a lot of effort went into it (thanks Shireen!). And I must admit that I was so shocked to see that our booth actually had so many people, and at times, we had more than some of the other London universities. Really appreciate those members who turned up at the event; hopefully we left a deep enough impression on the freshers so that they will join CUMSA next year.

The day ended off with dinner at Sakura Orchard with the CCIS people, or whatever remnants that actually bothered to turn up for the gathering. I am very pisssed with all those who 'pang seh' last minute; I mean I can pardon you if it is a genuine last minute emergency but please, if you didn't want to go just tell me straight in the face. I'm actually happier with honesty. Oh well, but it was a pretty interesting meet up session, and in a sense a catching up of each other's latest happenings. I wonder whether next year we will have such a gathering again; I seriously don't know, especially since I hope to work for a bank/consultancy next year (preferably Hong Kong or Singapore office). Oh well, let's not bother too much.

Haiz, I must stress again, I miss KTV! Please, please, please, jio me out for a KTV session!
