Retro.....
I never know that I will like retro so much until recently. Its like all along, I only listen to English pop (that was way back when I was just in Sec 3), before making the shift to Chinese pop in year 1. Since then, I treated most English songs as junk, with the exception of a few as well as some bands such as coldplay, as well as a few other artistes whom i think are talented (Norah Jones, Avril Lavigne, etc.)
Well, and last year (or was it 2 years back) Yanz asked me whether I had those oldies such as My Valentine by Martina McBride. Well, the answer was a simple no, but then, she became my jukebox and I got quite a few good old songs from her such as Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now. I thought that that will just be all the contact that I will have with retro songs.
How wrong I was. Ever since my first visit to Mambo, wow! Retro songs have now become one of my most well like genre of music. Yea, I know its tough for you all to believe, but I've even borrowed the best of 60s cd (retro music) from elvin!!! Haha, the album is shiok!!! I can just listen non-stop to them, and one of my all-time favorite is "Square Rooms"!! SHioK!! Of course, there's "Never Gonna Give it Up" and "Together Forever". Sounds like I'm doing an advertisement for the album but there's really absolutely no need since its already topping the bestsellers chart already.
2 weeks and I'm already suffering from worker's fatigue. Amazing right. I feel like at the end of this month, I need a real long break just to recover, and this is like just 2 weeks after my 10 days of Dec. holidays. I never expect things to work out this way but life is always full of surprises!
Imagine my platoon, from one of the smallest to become the biggest in CCC last Dec, and then shrinking back again to the smallest this month (and we don't even turn up at the parades cause of work...), yea life is just shocking....
My monitor is dying.......I have no idea how I'm going to survive this night...... Anyway I want to get a new set of apparel for Chinese New Year. Ha...get a new image??? Hmmm, let's see how things work out......
This is officially my 2nd year in army (actually its yesterday!). How time really flies.....
My bunk is perpetually empty half the time or should I mean that its always half full. For example, over at my side, there has only been 2 people sleeping there for the past week when by right it should be 4. Hopefully my platoon can go back to normal soon......
