An Update
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were all spent rummagging through the SPH Information Resource Centre, digging for photos that serve our purpose. Its a horrid job I must say, with the cold air and the heavy stench of papers, oh man, its literally suffocating. All that I can say is that its horrid, and the idea that I'm going back there to work on Monday and Tuesday just sucks.
Oh, the only good thing about being attached out is that I get to eat all the fabulous food recommended in Makansutra. Wah, the fantastic fried hokkien noodles, the amazingly delicious soy beancurd as well as the incredible rojak are just some of the few conquests that we had. Haha. Well, I've burnt a ridiculously big hole in my pocket as well.
Went Mambo on Wedesday night. Its good I must say. The crowd was just nice, enough to see pretty gals but not too many so that the dance floor ain't packed to the max. Oh well, I didn't see much familiar faces though. But it's good having the chance to chill out with my camp mates over there, I mean it really lifted our souls. The only bad thing was that I thought the DJ sux, as mambo night sort of became china black with the occasional bit of retro music, which should not be the case! There wasn't even Together Forever and Never Gonna Let You Down!
Anyway, Thurs was the platoon outing. We just had dim sum at Harborfront and then celebrated Mr Xue's Birthday (which reminds me, today is his birthday, Haha). The food was ok la. It's just a pity that we couldn't spent the whole day together as the OFE people had to go back camp to get their certificates from Div Comm. Haiz, next time I guess? (though I think it will be far far away...)
Friday went KTV-ing... Saw Siling too! Then after that went over to Breko and chill out and it was quite enjoyable, just sitting there, talking....
Met up with CX and JH on Sat. Ha, it's been a really long time since we all last met up. Had a good chat with them, knowing more about what their doing and stuff. Hmmm, seems to me that I have one of the better NS experiences. This is something which I'm indeed thankful to heaven for. Anyway, we ate at Swensens, then went to Soup Restaurent and after that Paulaner Brahaus. Hmm, I must admit that Paulaner serves pretty good beer, its quite smooth and not bitter at all. But their choice of spirits, cocktails and wine seemed to be real bad, so if your ever going there, just drink their beer.
Anyway, I was pretty shocked to see so many familiar people at Suntec on Sat. Saw GX, Simon and his GF, saw the former admin spec and another whom I've forgotten his name. Hmm, I'm amazed at how much more people I've known since entering NS.
Well, let's hope that next week will be good too!
