A good weekend

The weekend was great. Let me see, I went to Simei early in the morning. After that, I went back home, slept a bit, then went to Orchard to pass Edwin my Erementar Gerad. Ha. He finished reading through them and he says it's great. Well, I shall work hard on them too once I finished reading Kyo.

Anyway, I went Borders to find wj and gang. It was pouring so we walked over to Lido to eat. Ha, we really parked at the KFC for like 3 whole hours before going over to Royal Holiday Inn to watch the FA Cup final.

Ok, the place was posh, but the environment is not bad. However, the drinks are really expensive, considering the amount that they give. Hmm, although the environment is good for watching soccer, but I guess we still can't afford it yet. Maybe next time when we are working? Ha, but I must say the drinks were not bad.

The match was boring. Arsenal played such a dull boring game of football that you can actually say that it was a match that deserved to be missed. Credit to Man U for all their attacks as well as those few excitement in the game. I must say that Arsenal was really just playing for the penalty kicks, which they really excelled in, haha.

I left at half time caused of the fact that I'm meeting Simon they all to stay over at his place. Met them, went to Simon's house, had a great supper (the yonghe doujiang youtiao!). We literally gorged ourselves full, haha. Oh yea, we also followed the FA Cup final online and saw the final score. 5-4 on penalty to Arsenal.

My stomach was so bloated that I had a tough time trying to sleep. Haha. Anyway, got up real early on Sunday (6.30 to be precise) to go for the New Paper Big Walk. Stadium was flooded with people (according to the papers, around 50 000 turned up?), and can you believed it, I forgot to bring my number tag!!! That basically meant that I could not win the Latio, which is the reason why I joined the event in the first place. Hai. Horrible. Anyway, after seeing so many people, the whole lot of us literally lost the will to squeeze with the crowd. In the end, we walked over to Suntec to have breakfast. So you can't really say that we never walked, just that we walked over half the distance? Hehe.

Got home, took a nap and off I go to the temple. Went to the 2 temples at racecourse road, said my prayers before going off for lunch. After which, I went to the Kuanyin temple at waterloo street. It was packed! Super packed. Ha, well I paid my respects and after that I went to Kino at Bugis.

Boy, Kino had a storewide 20% promotion going on! He, without any delay, I snapped up all those stuff which I wanted, before going to Orchard to get the other stuff which Bugis Kino doesn't have. Even though the queue for the cashier was amazingly long (like 20 over people), I only took like 5 minutes to reach the counter! I must say that their staff is really efficient.

Went Partyworld with ji and gang. Ha, had a good time singing. Dinner was at Billy Bombers (yes, 2nd time in like 2 weeks?). I had steak for dinner and I felt so guilty caused after all, yesterday was Vesak Day. Anyway, the meal was good, and extremely filling as well. Next, we went to Breko at Holland Village for some drinks (don't worry, no alcohol was involved). Talked a lot of stuff there, before we finally went our separate ways home.

Oh, woke up today for driving lessons. After that, I was basically resting at home, either sleeping or watching shows. Haha. Guess what, even my horoscope for today was telling me that I need to take a break and how nice it was that my boss and pals are letting me have a chance to take a break. Ya, right, if you were to consider that my boss is the government, caused after all, today is a public holiday! And I had no plans to go out today, so maybe that is considered as my friends letting me have a chance to rest? Haha. But I'm recharged and ready for the week ahead!
