Super Duper Shiok!
Ok, let me recount the various events from Friday onwards. After work, I went down to Sim Lim to get DVD-Rs. Ha, there is just too many things that I want Kay to help me burn. Before that, I went to the Kuanyin Miao to pray for some stuff, and I must say that so far, it has been quite accurate. So if you are troubled and need some guidance, please pay the place a visit. Trust me, it will not be a waste of your time.
After which I walked over to Bugis to try to find Wired Magazine (May issue) with K. Hmm, Kino sold out as well as a lot of other magazine shops that we looked at. Anyway, we went into Soo Kee to take a look and we are quite irritated that none of the staff there actually attended to us! Why? Is it because they look down on us or suspect our buying power? Never mind, next time when I am going to get my wedding ring, I should dress up very casually and wander into Lee Hwa and see how their staff responds. If they ignore me, I shall demand to talk to their manager and complain about the bad service.
Next, we went to Ang Mo Kio. The comics that I wanted hadn't arrived yet, so we went over to Mos to have a quick bite. Hehe, I got Erementar Gerad 7 as well as the new side series! Then we bought wenji present before we went to K's house. Hah, I wanted to borrow his Kyo as well as send email, plus pass him some DVDs for him to burn the stuff I wanted. After that I went home.
Well, the moment I got back, wenji asked whether I still interested in going chinablack. Considering the fact that I missed mambo, I naturally agreed. Ha, got over to Orchard at around 10, but after they ate a few meals here and there, we only started queuing up at 11. After about 45 mins, their management told us the place is full and that if we want to carry on queuing, we need to wait like 45 mins to an hour. Well, that's madness caused it means that the moment I stepped in black, I must leave soon cause the next day I got tuition!
So, we walked over to devil's and we decided that the age group was not suitable for us. Then, we hopped over to MS, just to really see for ourselves that Double O is overflowing. Ha, we tried to enter Madame Wong and News room Bar, but I was underage for both (sorry wenji and gang!). As a last resort, we went to RUSH. OK, listen carefully, that place is totally not my cup of tea. Number 1, it is really small compared to ZOuk (like even smaller than phuture). Number 2, the music is mainly techno. Number 3, the crowd there is not my type (mainly bengs and lians as well as kids). Number 4, there's no real cool dance moves unlike at black or mambo, cause everybody just shakes as they like. It just does not has the feel which Mambo gives me. Conclusion, no more RUSH ever for me.
Well, it seems to me that I shall just carry on sticking to Zouk and Chinablack until I hit 23. Seriously speaking, the experience I had at rush was so bad that I even had nightmares last night!
Anyway, I got up real early for tuition today. Hmm, I never imagined myself to be saying this, but I really am enjoying giving others tuition. The satisfaction that I get from helping somebody to understand new ideas and concepts are really good. Ha, maybe teaching is a path which I will enjoy.
Since it rained so heavily in the morning, the sentosa meeting was postponed from 10 to 12 instead. Ha, initially I thought I will be late, but it turns out that I was the first to reach. I hanged about harborfront, found Wired so I helped K buy first. Then after which we had lunch at the food centre before we crossed over.
Oh man, I must say that CCIS is amazing. The outing today had a tremendous turnout. There were people from the very first batch of CCIS all the way until the current people. Hehe, guess maybe that is because CCIS in the SAF is very young? Like less than 3 years old? Oh well, even though some of the laojiaos I had never seen before, we could all still click and enjoy ourselves.
We played beach soccer most of the time, except for intervals of beach volleyball and Frisbee throwing. Haha. Oh man, K actually threw his new Frisbee into the sea that was kind of a HUGE waste since it was just bought. But then, those Frisbees which are hollow are really amazing as they can really be thrown for super far distances. Hopefully next time we can control it better.
Oh yea, the weather was great today too. Not to hot and no rain! We stayed until around 5 plus, before we bathed, changed and left for the mainland. Hopped over to Bugis to eat Billy Bonbers. Yea, the food is great although I admit it is a little expensive. But still, we had a good dinner and a good chit chat over the meal.
After which, we all went our separate ways. Ha, it is really a tiring but great weekend for me! Oh, I passed wenji his present today too. Hope he likes it! =)
Tomorrow meeting normie and gang to celebrate his birthday. I hope that the turnout will be as good as today since it is like almost 3 months since we last met? Haiz, but all this strains my pockets. Guess I'm gonna eat grass for the rest of the month.
