SPH again...

I'm bored. Seriously bored. Ok, just to let you all have an update, I'm now back to SPH again, except that this time I'm not just poring through old photos, but microfilms as well. Seriously speaking, I'm about to become the walking dictionary of Singapore's past 40 years of nation building. I don't know whether that is considering good or bad.

The truth is, looking at microfilms is more than just mind-boggling, eye-hurting, or irritating. It is like, the ultimate mental torture ever possible in the world. After looking at those reels for just 2 hours, your mind will start going bonkers. Yes, as you can tell, that has indeed affected my mood.

Worse bit is that there's always a tight timeline for me to complete everything by. TO be true, there is almost no peace for me there. It is like what I will say, that I have suddenly become the acting NDP PC for my platoon. I am almost literally orchestrating the whole research team, and the only thing which I do not do is to brief CO (the job of course went to MockingBird). Tsk, tsk....and it is not that I want to say, but both of them are not just capricious in nature, their planning abilities are also seriously flawed. DUH! WHERE GOT people wait until 2 weeks away production before they announced that they want to change 15-20% of the whole thing! Especially when some of these changes can be made known like 3 months ago. Seriously speaking, I learnt much about planning after these 5 months.

Oh, to sidetrack a bit, Singapore's history is super boring. When other countries are fighting wars and stuff, we can only talk about simple issues such as "Poly students call for better and cheaper food". DUH. Ha, well, the only exciting parts of our history are all those gun fights between the police and criminals. I really salute the police officers of the past cause they really put their lives on the line.

Anyway, I watched Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, on Elvin's birthday. Well, it was quite a good movie, caused the CGI was great. Of course, all the light sabre battles were mesmerizing, if not eye-dazzling to some extent. The plot was ok, I mean, almost everyone knows what the story ought to be. But still, there was still a huge sense of anticipation when Anakin finally emerged as Darth Vader.

Oh, I read Chunsz review for Cowboy Bebop. Hmm, his review was really great, made me understand about a lot of what the whole anime is about. I mean, it is not the plot which I don't get, but the style, and what is so revolutionary about the whole anime. Seriously speaking, Chunsz you wrote a great review for the manga!

Oh, talking about writing, I read CX article on a society without passion in Today. Indeed, it is so distinctively something written by him, so full of ideas and arguments. The only bad thing about his style is that he does not give much room to the opposition views. So you can say the balance is lacking. However, his style is good if he has a lot of points and arguments which are irrefutable, since that will put his arguments even stronger across.

Sian, I am just bored. Super bored...
