Boring Boring Week

I’m off for the rest of this week yet I literally rot 2 days away just like that. Let me see, basically Tuesday I didn’t do much except give tuition. Then I reached home, watched a bit of shows, and finally started reading the Wealth of Nations. I think it is a mammoth book (it is 1000+ pages?), but the concepts (I’m only at Chapter 5 now) so far are still pretty easy to understand, and rather simple too. In fact, all those terms are real familiar to any students with a bit of Economics background, but it is real interesting since Adam Smith really provides a lot of details as well as take a lot of knowledge to the most basic and simplest of all levels.

Actually I was planning to meet CX and go cycling on Tuesday, but turns out that he got recalled to do some work due to the recent Bali bomb blasts. Well, I can’t blame him because it is ultimately his job and duty to ensure the safety of all Singaporeans, so I must say I will rather he work than him being on vacation. Well, guess I shall have to meet him another time…

Well, today isn’t much better. I went for a dental appointment in the morning, then I had to tie down some recall manning stuff since my Area IC does not have the initiative to contact me. Oh well, hopefully I need to contact less than 5 people… After which, I hopped over to VJC to try to tie down some relief teaching matters but then, Mr. Ueng was not around and neither were the HODs too. But I met up with Mr. Tay and Mr. Ho and we had a good chat. Oh, and I’ve finally verified that Mr. Ho does know my ex-CO (apparently they are the same batch), and yes, my ex-CO does earn a 5 digit salary.

Oh, for some interesting reason, I saw Wei Hong, Tian Hao and Sanjay from my batch. I think the appearance of us really got the teachers into commenting that NS nowadays are like too free. Ha, well not that free I guess just that we all happens to be ORDing soon and this is the window for university application for overseas universities so I guess that’s why we are all back? Well, I talked a bit with Tian Hao, and I do think that I sound super fu yan at times. Haha… But I guess it either means my socializing skills have improved or that maybe I really do can strike a decent conversation with most people.

Anyway, tomorrow I’m going Kusu Island with my parents. Think I shall pray in advance for next year since I won’t be in Singapore for the next pilgrimage season. Haiz, as you can see, I am really just taking offs this week for the sake of clearing. Sigh.
