Bad First Time

I just paid my first polyclinic visit, and I must say it left such a deep impression in me that I doubt I will forget it any time soon.

Ok, I went to the polyclinic to consult the doctor about my sinus problem, and hopefully can a referral to a specialist so that I can maybe save a few days of off next year. BUT then, it all backfired.

Ok, when I got there, I was already half expecting the large number of senior citizens and foreign workers there (or I assume to be foreign workers). But I was shocked to realize that the queue for registration was like 120 people long! After I waited like 40 minutes in the queue, it was finally my turn to get registered and referred to the doctor. But then, I was even more disgusted to wait like 1 hour just to see the doctor (oh, the waiting area was hot and stuffy too!). At the end of the day, I spent like 2 hours waiting to see the doctor.

Well, the pharmacy and payment was fast and efficient. But I was totally disgusted to realize that I need to pay for the medicine that the doctor prescribed as the counter staff told me that it was not a SAF standard item. That was like how sianz. SO I spent 2 hours just to see the doctor and I still have to pay like 30 bucks! If I have known this was the case, I would have just went to the clinic downstairs and it will most probably take me like 30 minutes and just 10 dollars more? I will gladly use 10 dollars to exchange for 1 and a half hour.

Oh, and I was not referred to a specialist too. Instead, I was told to come back to the polyclinic in 2 months time. Argh….that means another time of queuing up for 2 hours… Oh no…. it is super torturous…

Yes, no more polyclinics for me unless absolutely necessary.
