Physically tired out
If I remembered correctly, I touched a weapon for every day that I was in camp. With the exception of Wednesday perhaps, but on the whole it was terrible that I lost track of time and happenings.
Oh, after playing around with the SAR, I realized that it’s a good long-range weapon except that it is a little bit heavy, and that it is more uncomfortable to carry about. Hmm, as to whether I prefer M16 or SAR, I still stick with M16, which is lighter, easier to shoot with (ok, fine, I’m more familiar with it).
Anyway, ICCT was totally horrendous, I mean it was like the first time in ages that I got pushed to that type of physical limits (as well as making me lose part of my voice). Ya, and that instructors for ICCT were so cheng4, ha, even not giving face to regulars or officers. Ok la, cannot blame them since its part of their jobs, but they are definitely not the most likeable personnel around.
Well, I will say that the locks lesson was interesting, as you do learn some useful techniques, which might come in handy in future. But then, the problem is that we just had a quick lesson on them, and there are so little practice sessions (chances are, you don’t practise it anyway), so I guess I will forget the bulk of it in a few months time. Ha, but it was quite fun la.
Oh ya, talking about SOC, I really think that my unit has become mad. 2 SOC trainings in a week! Wah, luckily I missed one thanks to a safety brief while the rain took care of the other. The bad news is that I heard that there will be a SOC test on the 10th of November, which is right after the ops. Wah liew. Seems to me that I should start running more during my free time.
Ok, going out to Kino later. Ha, this weekend is 20% off for all Kino members so if you are one, don’t miss this wonderful opportunity to get a few good reads!
