To wrap things up...

I’m finally leaving Singapore to study. Yupz, departure is later tonight. Hmmm, even though I think I’m excited, but I think there’s certainly a lot of loose end that I’ve left behind in Singapore. Ok, let me do a brief wrap up on recent happenings, as well as some of my thoughts.

I must admit that I am indeed very excited about going to Cambridge, especially since it has been my known destination for closed to 2 years, as well as the fact that it has been my dream school for ages. But let me leave the excitement and life there to future posts.

Now, the past few days have been super busy as I’ve been having reunions of sorts with all my different close friends. Alright, apart from the Geppers whom we are having a gathering every time we go to the airport to bid farewell to another one of us, I am actually attempting to relive a lot of fond memories with my other friends. Let’s see.

To start first, Mark and Kenny thanks for joining me for dinner at Sushi Tei (sad right, especially when I jioed more people). Hmm, I’ve never eaten there before, but I must say the food and ambience is nice there. Oh yea, I must add on that even though we’ve known each other for a relatively short time (it’s not even 2 years, and considering during SPH days we’ve also never really interacted), but I must say I’ve really enjoyed playing badminton with you all on Saturdays, meeting up for the occasional Kino/food/movie sessions. Kudos to Kenny for lending me manga, I think next year I will do that more often to catch up on what I’m missing in UK.

Ok, the geppers. You guys have been a fantastic lot, and I’m starting to be very impressed of what we were like during our secondary school days especially after I’ve seen how this year’s sec 1s behaved. Thanks for all the support and help you’ve guys rendered over the years, and I must say a big thank you to our teachers too, especially Ms Tay (for helping me with the university application). Hmm, even though we are all now scattered, I’m sure the Christmas party this year will be a success, if not we can attempt a podcast. Hehe. Well, do stay in touch and we’ll meet up next year!

Hmm, I met up with the bulk of the SJ people at eve’s party. Actually, it is more of just the gals. Well, I think you all have been a fun group to hang out with, and I must say I will certainly miss the KTV sessions that I have. Let’s talk more on MSN! Hehe. For the guys, yea I will certainly miss you all. Hopefully I can catch up with you all next year, but I know we are all busy. Oh ya Edwin, you’ve been a great friend! So must inform me early whether you can hop over to St. James Park or Euro 2008! Then we can make plans!

Alright, I think I’ve neglected S21 so far. I admit even though we seldom meet up after JC, but I must say our JC days were great and wonderful. I’m not sure whether people will call it happening, but I think it is definitely not boring! Ha, well, Chin Soon seems to be organizing something later, so I hope I will be in for a big surprise. But yes, I think we are a great bunch even though we did torture our teachers. But then, we really have a great time!

Ok, Sunday I met up with the CCIS people at Lee Fun. For those who don’t know, it’s this dining place that sells wonderful soy chicken at Toa Payoh Lorong 4, Blk 94. Hmm, it does remind me of our wonderful SPH days, a pity that the usual few were largely not there. Sheesh, but next year ok? Anyway, I think you all have been tremendous! Every time when I compare my army experience with others, I think I’m super blessed. So yea, I most certainly will not delete all your phone numbers from my SIM card. Ha~

At night I met up with Wenjie and gang. Hmm, compared to the other groups, we really known each other for a shorter time (especially since we usually just meet at the most once a week). But I must say you all have been interesting and fun to hang up with. I also got to know more about Orchard and Holland V! Well, I think our chionging experiences were nice, and I must admit you all did show me a different perspective to live. All the best in all your careers and studies but do catch up! Oh, I most certainly will miss our KTV times!

Hmm, it seems to me that I’ve neglected Cexiang and his inner circle. Well, we did meet up but that’s because Cexiang was flying off. Mr Foo, you have certainly been a very good friend, motivating and encouraging. I think you taught me a lot about courage, as well as other lessons on life. That day I’ve actually realized that all those in your inner circle are in different universities around the world! But then, I do hope we can all meet up now and then, and I don’t mind hopping over to Cardiff to find ya!

Lastly, my dota buddies, Kenny and Boon Hao. Ha, thanks a lot for the wonderful game this morning. It is really rare that I actually truly wanted to win a game that badly, but since it was my last game with you all (at least for the next few months), the urge to win was huge. Amidst the closeness of the game, somehow we won. Ha! Well, the past 1 year plus dota-ing with you all are great. Of course, I won’t forget our Taipei trip too (with Jiahao). Hmm, if there’s ever a chance again, let’s travel together or you all can come find me!

Oh, and yes my SS buddy Liheng. Hmm I know, it has been so long since we last had a showdown, but I think we can still do that when I’m in the UK! Thanks a lot for all the IT support (to Eldwin too!) as and when when I requested to it (for those who don’t know, the banner on top was designed by Liheng). Well, you certainly left a definite mark on my blog (takeoff!), but looks like I need to change the banner soon. I will think of something nicer. =)

Oh yes, my family! Thanks for supporting me always, and of course I must thank my parents for flying with me. God, I’m really carrying a lot of stuff! I think it crossed 50kg!

I hope I never neglected anyone, if I do, you all can just bugged me and scold me. Hehe. Ok, I don’t think I will post anymore until I get my internet connection up and running over there…

PS. I went KTV twice in 3 days! And it almost became thrice in 4 days if it wasn’t because my throat is dying (it’s barely recuperating now). Hmm I think it’s a record by itself. Hopefully I won’t miss KTV that badly …
