Thank God...
Hmm, ok last night I was going home from Holland V with my friends. As it was nearing midnight, we decided to share a cab back. Now, the entire trip was pretty fast and smooth, and there weren’t any hiccups.
And then, just as we were exiting from the Upp. Serangoon PIE, another taxi just smashed into the back of the taxi that we were in! Hmm, imagine a T-junction: the cab I was in is going vertically straight and then suddenly, at the junction, another cab comes along and bang into it from the left! God, those in the back row were all thrown to our right!
The scary part was that I was sitting at the passenger door nearest to the incoming vehicle, so it was really amazing that the other taxi hit us a few cm behind the back door if not I wouldn’t be blogging this. Oh, thankfully he braked too! PHEW. But the impact was really bad, caused the trunk of the cab that we were in as well as the oil tank part were crushed. Truly horrifying!
Ok, it is quite weird that the other driver came up of his vehicle and wanted to scold my cab driver for flouting the rules, but my cab driver retorted that he has 4 witnesses who can testify that he’s not at fault. Well, it is true that the other guy caused the problem since we could see the green man of the traffic light in the same direction as us flashing after the accident. And boy, that screwed up driver just sucked his thumb since he doesn’t have any witnesses…
Hmm, seriously speaking, a lot of thoughts did fly past my head when the incident occurred – my bond, my future, everything! Ok, the bond was the more important part, hehe, caused somebody was telling me that if a scholar during his course of studies passed away (touchwood!), his/her parents has to fork out the bond money and pay the organization. Hmm, I’m not sure how true that is but still, staying alive is like of utmost importance now.
And then, I must say Singapore has quite a lot of screwed up drivers. Some of them just don’t seem to care much of their actions! Tsk, they are the people that need to be taught a lesson!
Oh well, once again I’m super thankful that I’m still alive and typing this, thank god.
P.S. for those who gamble, the 2 license numbers that were involved in the accident are 2720 and 306.
