China Xiamen Trip Day 7

The last day was really simple as we just checked out of the hotel and went to the airport to catch our flight at 1220 hours. Their whole immigration process is vastly different from CIA’s, so there was a slight bit of confusion. Luckily it wasn’t that hard to figure out how the airport works, and it helps when you can read Chinese.

On the plane ride back I had a good nap. On the whole, I must say that the trip is really boring and unexciting as compared to my Taipei trip, but I must say it was really heartwarming when I went back to my home village. I guess I’m proud to say that I actually do have family ties with China (and Hong Kong too, since 1 of my cousin is working there!). But for those who don’t, I do strongly encourage you to attempt to find your home town/village and take a look; it is always good to know where your roots are.
