College Tour 1 - Christ's College

First on the list, alphabetically, is Christ's College. Ha, actually that's not t

Christ's was founded in 1505 by Lady Margaret Beaufort (she's depicted up there in the centre), so they celebrated their 500th birthday last year. It's kind of a pity that I wasn't here last year to join in the celebrations, but
I will be around to join in my University's celebrations when it turns 800 in 2009.
Ok, the bottom right photo is my college First court. Yupz, that's the first thing you get to see when you walk through the gate. There's the chapel on the left, and with the nice patch of grass in the middle. Hmm, I find it amusing that I have been to schools (my secondary school and now my university) where it is almost a crime to walk on the grass! Haha.
The photo beside first court is Third Court, and that's where my room is. Ok, I don't stay in the block shown, but my block is identical to it anyway. It is really old (I heard it was built in 1920), and there's even a fireplace in my room! Oh, the nice circular patch is also unwalkable as well. Hmm, apparently only the squirrels and my college cat have permission to walk on them.
And now the last picture is my college New Court. It is nicknamed the typewriter as well (kindda obvious right?) and most freshers stay there. I've been inside one and I must admit the rooms are small compared to one. Well, I must say the building is really interesting, cause it is the only building in my college which looks new! Oh, some people thinks that it looks more like a seaside resort instead of a building in Cambridge. Hehe, I guess it's up to your own imagination!
Oh, just a quick note, the 2 most famous alumni from my college are Darwin and John Milton.
Alright, that's all for Christ's. Next will be St. Catherine's college.
